You must be over the age of 18 or older to enter the 50km event.
You must be over the age of 16 or older to enter the 25km event.
You must be over the age of 13 or older to enter the 11km event.
All participants 12 and over are permitted to enter as an individual in the 5km event. Any participant under the age of 10 years must be accompanied by a legal guardian or parent. The parent or guardian will need to register and pay the entry fee, and must run with the child at all times.
Participants must be 11 or under. A legal guardian or parent may run for free with their child.
Join the volunteer crew for a fantastic experience along some of NSW best coastline and National Parks. We have a role for everyone, from restoring runners energy, cheering them on as they take on the course, or handing out well deserved finishers medal as they cross the finish line in beautiful Dixon Park. Volunteering is a life changing experience.

25km
There will be two (3) aid stations on course. One with water only and the other two (2) with water, lollies, and medical aid. Electrolytes will be available at aid station 2 only.
Aid Station 1: Gun Club Rd (approx 750m South East from City Rd) – 5.3km and 19.5km (there will be a small number of portaloos at this Aid Station)
Aid Station 2: Dudley Beach Car Park (approx 1.3km from Burwood Rd) – 15.9km
Aid Station 3. Hickson St just before you exit Glenrock National Park. Please note this aid station will have WATER ONLY – 23.2km
11km
There will be one (1) aid station with water, lollies, and medical aid. There will be another drink station with water only.

Aid Station 2: only services the 25km event

Yes, there will be first aid support at each aid station and the start/finish line.
If you come across a fellow participant requiring medical attention on the course please the advise closest course marshal, providing clear instruction of the location, description of the person and possible injury/illness.
No, personal music devices are not permitted.
Runners wanting a preferred start for either the 50km, 25km or 11km can select Wave A during registration. You will also need to include a link to a qualifying time which will be checked by event staff once your registration is processed. Any individual who’s time does not qualify them for a preferred start will be moved to the next available start group.

Race bibs can either be collected from Dixon Park on the DATE TBC or, from the registration tent located at the start line on event morning.
To collect your race bib, you will need to bring either a printed or electronic version of your e-Ticket emailed to you at the time of registration.

We suggest all participants arrive at least 1 hour before their start time to allow sufficient time to place belongings in the baggage area, stretch, attend pre-race briefing and walk down to the start line.
If you are arriving by car please be sure to add 15 minutes as parking can be challenging in a residential area.

If you coming from Sydney via train on event day, it’s important you note the first train arrives into Newcastle Interchange Station at 7:47am so those participants in the 25km event should plan to use an alternate method.
There are a number of small car parks within walking distances of Dixon Park including;

Participants are able to drop a small amount of personal belongings to baggage area positioned within Dixon Park Festival Village. The baggage area will be open from 4:30:00am – 5:00pm on event day.
The area will be manned by volunteers all day however participants drop their bag at their own risk.
Volunteers will not accept anything deemed as dangerous.
